Renovations demand different skills

The skills and processes needed for renovations are very different from those required to build new homes. Part one: the main house

A recent Refresh project was two-fold. Part one included a complete renovation of the main house bathroom, with replacement of all water and waste piping. A new bath, shower vanity and toilet were installed, which also included stunning new tapware and fixtures.

 

Part one: the sleepout

Part two involved the conversion of the garage into a fully self-contained sleepout. “It’s very satisfying taking a cold, uninviting garage and turning it into a welcoming, comfortable living space,” says Mike. “It’s really practical for teenagers or guest accommodation and adds real value to the property”.

 

Bathroom and Kitchenette

MD Plumbing did a complete plumbing fit-out, including a sani-pump as the bathroom was below the sewer line. The new bathroom featured a shower, vanity and toilet. A kitchenette enables occupants to prepare meals without having to go to the main house. Rinnai Infinity heating units ensure a continuous supply of hot water. “As renovation specialists, Refresh needs a quality plumbing service,” says Cameron. “MD Plumbing always deliver, as they did with this project, and the team are great guys to work with.
